Hey guys! So I recently attended Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Brisbane and I thought I'd make a post showing the things I bought and generally talk about my experience!
I attended the convention all three days, in cosplay on Friday and Saturday and in regular clothing on Sunday due to heat stroke. I don't currently have any photos of me in cosplay right now aside from my polaroids as I was very hesitant in letting people take my photo as I was extremely ill over the weekend and it reflected in how I looked. I had a great time! I met tonnes of new people who had the same interests in me which was a great feeling considering where I come from there's literally two people who like the same things as me. The only negative experience was Saturday night when my hotel room had a bit of a cosplay melt down but we all quickly got over it! I'm super excited for Goldnova in April now!
Onto what I bought! I didn't buy nearly as many things as I usually buy, I probably spent more on other people than I did on myself! I bought Christmas presents for my friends and an 'i'm sorry' present for the role i played in the accidental breaking of her cosplay- whoops! I mostly spent my money on one big item, which was a Christmas present to myself!
Here we go!
The first thing I received was actually a present from my friend! It's a little Luka Megurine figurine from Vocaloid! Luka's my favorite Vocaloid and my friend was cosplaying a Vocaloid on the day so it seemed appropriate! It's totally cute! She has a mirror and a checkerboard behind her back as a background which I think is totally cute and different, i'm super pleased with her.
The next item is this Okane Owari from Super Dangan Ronpa 2 lucky box gachapon! She was a bit pricey and I would've preffered another character, not that I don't love Owari it's just that my fav character was up for grabs in this particular series. She's totally cute and well made and she sits really well up with all my Dangan Ronpa gachapons. I'm super happy now I finally have some SDR2 merch!
The next items this super cute Mako Mankanshoku key tag from Kill La Kill. This was another lucky box and it was also pretty fairly priced, i'm super happy with this purchase. I really wanted Satsuki but Mako was my next choice so I can't complain! She fits perfectly onto my polaroid and is a perfect addition.
The next item I again received as a gift! It's so amazingly beautiful and the picture I took really doesn't do it justice. I feel so blessed to have received such a beautiful item, which is a Sailor Moon necklace. Sailor Moon was literally my life back when I was little and i'm slowly getting back into it since Crystal's been released. I'm so happy with this item, I absolutely adore it!
And last but not least and certainly my most expensive purchase of the convention was an item I'd wanted for a very long time and decided to buy myself as christmas gift to myself for working so hard during the year at work. I caved in and bought myself the Vampire Knight manga boxset of the first 10 manga volumes, which is pretty special to me considering Vampire Knight was the first manga I ever started reading! I got a huge discount on it too as I asked the lady at the booth what the price was and she gave me an estimate which turned out to be waaay below the actual price but then told me she'd give it to me for the estimate price which is what I see it advertised for everywhere else. I've been planning on buying this for some time now and i'm super glad I was able to buy it for myself!

And that concludes my Brisnova 2014 haul & experience! If I get any photos of myself I'll make sure to update this post!
