Resolutions: Photos

So I recently I was thinking about some goals and resolutions i've set for myself earlier in the year and I decided to revisit and update you guys on my progress.  When I first made the list photos wasn't anywhere near the top nor on the list but recently I decided it was something very important to me.

Recently I've thinking about my hobbies, or lack of thereof, and noticed that since I stopped playing sport when I was 14 and got a job I haven't had many hobbies. Recently i've been drifting apart from my biggest hobby as well, cosplay, because of the time and expense it takes as i'm just not dedicated anymore. So I thought about what hobbies I might be able to pick up and photography instantly came to mind. I realised just how much I love taking photos and how much fun I have whilst doing it and that it's something that I enjoy sharing with everyone so i've decided to take more photos. I used to hate photos because in my mind photos equated to two things; school photos and family photos (and my family takes a lot of photos; mostly because we can never get them right the first time, thanks grandma) but a while ago I bought myself a little DSLR and polaroid to take to conventions and I realised how much fun it is to take photos. And don't get me wrong i'm not gonna start doing weddings and buying every single camera accessory that comes on the market, not that there's anything wrong with that, but i've decided to do this for me and me only so i'll only be taking photos of things that are important to me, especially since polaroid film is so expensive - yikes. I think photographing the things that mean most to you is a great idea, it's hard to forget memories when you can hold them in your hand. Just by taking a few photos a week you'd be surprised how many you can end up with and mine are really starting to stockpile.

Til Next Time,
Madeline.
